Hobie’s new Mirage Compass packs fishing utility, with two vertical rod holders, the fast and efficient MirageDrive GT, and a Molded 3D Mesh seat with loads of adjustability.
It’s still every inch a Hobie Kayak, with a time-tested hull that’s an ideal blend of confident stability from the Pro Angler and smooth maneuverability from the Outback. Thanks to efficient Glide Technology with Bluefins the Compass is a very quick and stable platform. The Compass offers maximum stability and an oversized cockpit and flat deck for standing. A sharp turning radius makes it nimble in tight quarters, yet able to speed over open water in stealthy fashion. The hull is a fresh design, built with storage and upgradability in mind. Cruise, camp, or catch. The Compass is packed full of fishing features like the new H-Track, and the Lowrance Ready System that makes sonar installation a cinch.

Adjustability begets comfort
The Compass 3D Mesh seat provides the comfort needed for long stretches out on the water. The seat-back, and lumbar-support are easily adjustable. The seat also doubles as a beach chair when not paddling.
Hobie’s Retractable is there when you need it, gone when you don’t. A standard accessory on the Pro Angler and the Compass, the retractable-rudder system is engaged and disengaged with a pull of the T-shaped control handles.
