This kit will install on any Hobie inflatable kayak with the new Vantage seat.
The sprocket shaft is held into the spine by a set screw located between the sprockets. Since it is stainless steel, it should be a low failure item. But it is possible to bend the shaft if the kayak is dropped when the drive is installed.
The new Mirage Passport 12 has a built-in transducer mount on the underside of the hull, making it easy for fish finder installations. This detailed video walks through the installation of a skimmer style transducer using the factory-installed transducer
