The plate is thick enough (3/4") to use self tapping screws and sits high enough off the deck to use internal hardware. There are 3 accessory patterns that come pre-drilled (Micro Power Pole, Motorguide quick release bracket, and the Motorguide 6 bolt pattern). All stainless steel hardware is included to mount the plate to the kayak. As an added bonus, the plate does not inhibit the function of the boss strap and also acts as its own paddle park.
*Note: The install requires two holes to be drilled into the kayak and does not void the Hull Warranty.
