Thursday Evening Paddles
Every Thursday night at 6:30, kayakers meet at White Rock Lake for a mid-week break.
If you own a kayak come join us. If you do not own a boat this is a good chance to come try
a Hobie or Wilderness Systems kayak, and meet other people who have discovered the benefits
and joy of paddling.
Cruising White Rock Lake in the evening it is hard to realize you are still in the heart of
a large city. So come paddle the lake, explore a creek or maybe float around and listen to
a concert.
A limited number of demo boats are available.
Reservations can be made in person during normal
business hours up to two weeks in advance of an
evening paddle. Phone call and email reservations
will only be accepted on a space available basis the day of the
paddle. If you are planning on borrowing a boat from Mariner Sails, please be at the
sailing club between 6:00 and 6:30 pm...

Second Saturday Clean-ups
Every second Saturday of each month we participate in a lake clean-up program at White Rock Lake. This event is organized by the For the Love of the Lake organization. We meet at their office in Casa Linda Plaza off of Buckner Blvd. at 8 am for registration and breakfast snacks. At 9 am we meet on E. Lawther Dr. beneath the Mockingbird Bridge to launch the boats and clean up trash on the island and/or up White Rock Creek (see map
below). This is an excellent opportunity to come try out a Wilderness Systems or Hobie kayak.
Reservations for kayaks are accepted.
